What is Breast Lift

Breast lift also called Mastopexy is a procedure designed to lift and reshape sagging breasts and bring the nipple from an abnormally low position to a position of optimal breast anatomy. This can only be decided during the consultation.

Procedure

Mastopexy is typically performed in a surgery Centre or a hospital under general anaesthesia. The entire procedure takes two to three hours to complete.
Surgery is typically performed with an incision around the areola following down to the crease of the breast. Excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is tightened. The breasts and nipples are lifted to a higher position, and the incisions closed.

Recovery Time

Some degree of swelling and bruising can be expected after a breast lift procedure. Scarring from the incisions should be mild and fade away with time. You can return to normal daily activity after about a week. It is advised to avoid strenuous work for several weeks after surgery.
